There has been a significant growth of interest in the theory and practice of autonomy in language teaching and learning in recent years. Many new approaches and innovations have been used to develop learner autonomy in foreign language education. This work provides wide ranging coverage of the theory and practice of learner autonomy and self-directed language learning.
