Urban Politics

Urban governance is primarily concerned with the processes through which government is organized and delivered in towns and cities and the relationships between state agencies and civil society—a term that is used to include citizens, communities, private-sector actors, and voluntary organizations. The sphere of urban politics has also seen a growing interest in the RA, particularly in understanding the changing nature of local government amid the shift from one mode of regulation to another. This book will appeal to students of urban sociology, urban affairs, urban planning, and public policy.
